We finally made it to jeune et jolie, the michelin star restaurant in Carlsbad. We’re unfamiliar with eating french food, but thought it would be a fun adventure for my birthday.

The whole experience was very fun. In fact, the experience was the best part. Wonderful attentive service, a beautiful outdoor seating area, and a sommelier (that was an add-on we chose).

It was four courses I believe, and a wine pairing with each course. Plus a few extra snacks. We were nicely full (and drunk) by the end.

Although it was lovely and tasty, I’m not going to lie and say it’s the best food I’ve had in San Diego. We’ve eaten a lot of memorable food, and I’m not sure if the flavor of the food will stick with me.

That being said – it’s beautiful.

I really wish I could remember what everything was, but I didn’t keep a menu and I’m writing this much later. Oh well! Another fun food experience in the books.
